In addition to being permitted for room tax in Door County, every property owner who rents transiently is required to have a Wisconsin State Sales Tax permit (and pay state taxes according to the DOR payment schedule) and obtain a Lodging License from the Department of Agriculture. Although the Door County Tourism Zone Commission does not monitor or facilitate State licensing or health inspection, this information is provided to assist you in complying with other legal requirements.  Be sure to look at the check list for all the steps for permitting your property.
